So this is an interesting question and you came to the right person if you want a slightly controversial answer!
I’ve been in this lifestyle a long time. I have been living it in real life but I have also been active in many online forums. Now this is where it gets tricky..
In my local bdsm community, I have gotten to know dominants face to face, seen them play, earned their respect. I know they are real. Those Dominants, I address respectfully as “Sir”.
Online, I don’t have that luxury, so I tend to avoid titles altogether until I have REALLY gotten to know someone and know they’re legit.
If I’m speaking to a Dom that I’m personally interested in, I tend to be more playful with my monikers and I call them “Mister”.
Never, in my life, have I addressed a man as “Master” or “Daddy” if he was not MINE, despite his insistence that I do so. Do not ever do that. A man who insists you do this is a moron with an inflated sense of self. Steer clear.
So to summarize, your safest bet is always “Sir” if the dominant in question is someone you know and respect. Until he earns that, just use his name/screen name. Don’t give him the satisfaction of assuming he’s better than you are.
Not sure why this would be controversial but excellent explanation.
depression after years of having it isn’t even sadness it’s just being exhausted and being allowed one (1) emotion a week and sometimes your brain is like “die” and you’re like “shut up brad”
me, when i have homework that needs to be urgently completed: super introspective, analyzes my entire life stage by stage, thinks about friends i lost or drifted apart from, a bunch of other really emotional stuff
me, when i have all the time in the world to think about these things: haha let’s forget that i actually exist in this world as a person and watch a star war
Small psa:
Generational divides are fake, people can’t be sorted neatly into millennials, gen z, babyboomer, etc. Age is a gradient and people are individuals. Young kids are gonna do dumb stuff because they’re kids and the world is so fucking hard for little social mammal creatures with overgrown brains to figure out. Older little social mammal creatures are going to get disoriented and nervous as the way things worked when they were young are no longer the way things work. Everyone has been the former, everyone will be the latter. Be kind to each other.Don’t eat detergent.
