Last week, I got arrested for kayaking next to a construction barge.
It wasn’t exactly a surprise. My kayak was one of dozens of small boats, bobbing on the water near Whey-ah-Wechen, a traditional village site near what the settlers named Vancouver, British Columbia. We were there for the same reason the barge was there: because a Canadian oil giant, Kinder Morgan, is trying to build a massive new oil tanker terminal to go with its massive new Tar Sands pipeline expansion, a devastating and reckless proposal that would threaten everything we hold dear in these lands and waters.
As we approached the barge, Kinder Morgan’s loudspeakers blared that kayakers would be arrested and prosecuted if we refused to leave their private property. Their private property. As Tsleil Waututh elder Amy George responded, “This is not their private property. My people have lived here for 30,000 years.”
The Tsleil Waututh Nation never ceded this territory. But the proposed site of Kinder Morgan’s new terminal is right in the heart of it, along the narrow inlet from which Tsleil Waututh, or “People of the Inlet,” get their name.
The United Nations proposed a law condemning nations who sentence people in the LGBT community, among other minorities, to death.
And the U.S. voted against it.
They refused to condemn countries who SENTENCE THE LGBT COMMUNITY TO DEATH!
The United Nations isn’t one of those gray areas. All of the laws and legislations are intentionally black and white. In this case, you either condemn killing the LGBT community for the sake of being gay/trans/etc. Or you don’t.
There’s no middle ground. There’s no interpretation. There’s no reading into it.
On October 3rd, 2017, the United States refused to condemn sentencing the LGBT Community to death. Which can only mean that they’re in favor of sentencing the LGBT Community to death.
Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos on Thursday announced that the Trump administration is rolling back sexual assault guidelines issued by former President Barack Obama’s administration.“The system established by the prior administration has failed too many students,” DeVos said during a speech at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. “That’s why we must do better, because the current approach isn’t working.”In 2011, the Obama administration told colleges and universities that they have an obligation under Title IX to combat sexual harassment and sexual assault on campus. This administration is going to do everything it can to hurt women and people of color.

The Muse recently wrote that we should be aware of “work-life balance ‘tests’” during interviews, highlighting the chief executive of Barstool Sports, Erika Nardini, who reportedly texts job applicants interviewing with the company on weekends. Nardini said she does this “just to see how fast you’ll respond,” in an interview with The New York Times. She expects to be contacted back “within three hours,” she elaborated. “It’s not that I’m going to bug you all weekend if you work for me, but I want you to be responsive. I think about work all the time,” Nardini said. “Other people don’t have to be working all the time, but I want people who are also always thinking.”
It was also reported recently that Vena Solutions CEO Don Mal asks candidates if they’d “leave [their] family at Disneyland to do something that was really important for the company?” He expects them to say yes.
Honestly they can fuck right off. I don’t want to work for a company with those expectations.
The President charges his own Secret Service to use his golf carts.
The Secret Service also had to move out of their floors in Trump Tower because they couldn’t afford the lease.
THE PRESIDENT IS MAKING MONEY OFF OF HIS PRESIDENTIAL SECURITY DETAIL.
THEY ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO PROTECT HIM AND HE’S CHARGING THEM AT HIS PRIVATE BUSINESSES TO DO SO.
The Secret Service is almost out of money. Trump spent in one year on travel what Obama spent in eight (not to mention profited off of it). They can’t afford to pay people their people to cover Trump’s huge family as they travel for work and go on vacation every week.
This is corruption.
This is unethical.
This is something we should all be mad as Hell about.

THIS is the person trump claimed is going to “protect America,”…… this should honestly scare anyone who has a sense of basic human decency, the president of the U.S should not be willingly letting people like this back into the real world.
