It is estimated that over 15 million people were registered but didn’t vote in 2016 because of transportation issues.

This Election Day (Tuesday, 11/6), Lyft and Uber are working to change that.

Here’s what Lyft is doing:

  • Across the country, Lyft will give away 50% off promo codes that encourage voter turnout. Lyft will also
have a product integration to help passengers find their polling
    location.
  • For underserved communities, Lyft will provide rides free of cost through nonpartisan, nonprofit partners.

Here’s what Uber is doing:

  • Uber has built an
in-app feature as part of its Uber Drives The Vote initiative that will show you exactly where your nearest polling place is and let you book a ride to get there for free.

PLEASE SHARE this information, especially with folks who may not have access to reliable, affordable transportation. Let’s get people to the polls!
