when “no means no” comes up, you hear guys say “oh, but sometimes girls play hard to get” and like…. i guess, yeah. men & women both can be really bad at being honest about what they want. but just consider your options.
the other person says “no” and means “yes” –> you back down –> they learn
that if they want something, they have to clearly express themselves
they say “no” and mean “no” –> you back down –> you’ve successfully respected their boundaries
👍👌
they say “no” and mean “yes” –> you ignore them –> you’re perpetuating a pattern of bad communication & ignoring boundaries 👎 & given that you aren’t a mind reader, it’s really just luck that you haven’t coerced an unwilling person into sex
they say “no” and mean “no” –> you ignore them –> you’ve committed sexual assault 🚨🚨🚨 do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars
unless you care more about getting laid than not assaulting people, respecting people’s “no”s is a win-win situation. don’t be a potential rapist
John just looks… so happy for Sherlock. Completely normal reaction to your best friend proposing to someone that’s not you.
I am bothered you guys keep making me take these Face Journeys. They hit me in the Feels™ and make me Has a Sad™.
That’s the face of a man losing the ground beneath his feet and dying inside.
STOP
Ok, I am actually a johnlocker and have been my whole freaking life, but for the sake of idon’tevenknowanymore could this be the face of a man discovering that the man he loves his best friend has so little regard for people and their feelings that he is fake proposing just because of a case. I know I’d be horrified if a close friend was manipulating people like this and it might make me question all their motivations with me. Could that be the source of devastation?
Amazing woman and amazing work! Looks like some kind of magic! I love our people and our culture to the moon and back!
It is maddening that white people love the culture that we produce so much, but seem ambivalent towards our suffering and what it costs to create such a gorgeous culture in the face of constant erasure and hate! And yes, whites wearing dreadlocks and faux locks absolutely is cultural appropriation!

If someone you know is being a wanker,
dicksbymail.com lets you get revenge
by sending them a literal bag of edible
dicks. For $15, they will send a 5oz bag
of gummy wieners with a note that
says ‘EAT A BAG OF DICKS’ to anyone in
your life who deserves ‘that feeling of
sadness, disappointment, and betrayal.’ SourceSource 2
Who the heck would sadness, disappointment, and betrayal when receiving a bag of free candy??
I think the ad algorithms have noted that I signal boost black pride, black excellence, black lives matter stuff. Now I’m getting ads for products that would make my thin blonde hair look like I’d doused my hair in Crisco (because it is already oily and can only take light conditioner.)
Seems fair, since for centuries people of color have had to wade through useless products marketed for essentially me as though it would do them any good. Or worse, as though white was normal/standard.
Pretty sure I can deal
The disquiet over the LGBT Census erasure, the injustice of it, is that in action, meaning and consequence, it very literally makes LGBT people invisible again: this time on a stark white form that should include us. The message of still not being counted on a Census form sends a wider and more profound message around erasure at a time when LGBT rights themselves are under attack. LGBT people see newly minted, anti-LGBT legislators taking their positions in government, and are frightened with good reason. And now, on a basic population form, the one box just for them got blanked out. That means not only won’t LGBT people be counted, but all that could be gleaned about LGBT people, and who they are and what might best be done in terms of funding and assisting those who may need it most, will not be counted. That means less understanding at a time when more is urgently needed.
This is important but my mother had another disquieting thought. The Census uses addresses. She was genuinely happy that it was not being included, because she was worried that this administration might more easily track us or round us up. I want the information and I want us to stop being invisible but I literally got chills when she said that.
This is psychological torture for white people. (x)
Remind me again how Black people are too sensitive because I swear that’s what they keep telling me whenever I get upset at the justice system for railroading people who look like me or the media for the way they talk about the Obamas or our legislators for pandering to constituents who would still vote for Jim Crow laws. I’m too sensitive when those things upset me but this is psychological torture for white people.
If you’re white and you can’t take this lil piece of reflection from an anonymous messageboard, you would not last six hours as a Black person in America. I get worse than this from people in positions of power as soon as I turn on the television. I had to watch My First Lady being called a man by actual political commentators with an audience of millions. The sitting President of the United States is endorsed by the KKK, a terrorist group that has killed thousands of Black people. But a few pieces of paper that simply call for white folks to recognize our humanity, treat us as equals, and stop ignoring the effects of history is psychological torture.
“Psychological torture?”
Kids in Pakistan fear sunny days, as they know that drones can fly and take the lives of their relatives and playmates.
Kids in the U.S. know that because they are Black, Latinx, and/or Native, the police can shoot them for any reason and face ZERO consequences.
Kids in Canada and the UK face racial violence regularly.
But please, tell me more about how white people face “psychological torture” from comments on a board that could never be used to tear into the flesh of a white person without warning, anesthesia, or consequences.
